First Touch Academy (NEW)

Jacksonville Armada FC Youth has changed the format of our U5 and U6 programs.

All U5 (2015 Birth Year) and U6 (2014 Birth Year) players who register with the club will be placed in the First Touch Academy.

The First Touch Academy will offer families the option of one or two practices a week plus a game on Saturday. The practices will be directed by a JAFCYA trainer and assisted by parent volunteer coaches. The focus of the First Touch Academy will be to instruct young players to “control it” rather than “kick it”.

We are very excited at Armada FC Youth to introduce First Touch Academy to our youngest players as an entry level program. With increased options for practice opportunities and locations we give parents a menu to choose from at an affordable cost. All our practices are led by experienced coaches with the help of parent volunteers. We want to ensure that even our youngest players in the club get quality training to develop the fundamental skills required to play the game.
— Elmar Bolowich, JAFCYA Executive Director

Parents will have the option to have their child practice once or twice per week and all participants will play a game on Saturday.

Practice choices will be:

Monday @ Ed Austin Park

Tuesday @ Patton Park

Wednesday @ Ed Austin Park

Friday @ Patton Park

The cost for an eight week season will be:

$120 for one training session and one game per week

$165 for two training sessions and one game per week

There will also be a uniform fee (we are in the process of finalizing the uniform cost).

Current U6 (2013) players will have the option next year to play U7 recreational soccer with parent volunteer coaches or in the U7 Junior Academy Program with paid club trainers.
