First Touch Academy - Recreational
2024 FALL Registration WILL OPEN IN MAY.
JERSEY NUMBERS - When ordering uniforms please choose the player's date of birth day. For example, if your child was born on January 5th, then his/her jersey number should be #5. For twins, choose an alternate high number (i.e., jersey #33).
All U5 (2019 Birth Year) and U6 (2018 Birth Year) players who register with the club will be placed in the Recreational First Touch Academy.
The Recreational First Touch Academy will offer families the option of one or two practices a week plus a game on Saturday. The practices will be directed by a JFC trainer and assisted by parent volunteer coaches. All First Touch Academy teams are COED. The focus of the First Touch Academy will be to instruct young players to “control it” rather than “kick it”.
The Rec First Touch Academy is offered twice a year:
SPRING - Practices start at the beginning of March and the season ends before Memorial Day.
Spring Registration Deadline = January 15, 2024
December 15, 2023 - Early Registration Deadline
February 12, 2024 - First Touch Academy Training Starts
February 24, 2024 - First Touch Academy Games Starts
FALL - Practices start at the beginning of September and the season ends before Thanksgiving.
Fall Registration Deadline = July TBD 2024

Parents will have the option to have their child practice once or twice per week and all participants will play a game on Saturday. FTA will follow a ten week curriculum.
FIRST TOUCH ACADEMY PRACTICE OPTIONS:

Early Registration Price on or before December 15, 2023:
$175 for one training session and one game per week.
$225 for two training sessions and one game per week.
Registration Price after December 15, 2023, but before or on January 15, 2024:
$200 for one training session and one game per week.
$250 for two training sessions and one game per week.
Registration Deadline = January 15, 2024
Players who sign up after the deadline listed above will be automatically placed on the First Touch Academy WAIT LIST. No payment is processed until the child can be placed into the First Touch Academy.
Late Registration Price on and/or after January 15, 2024:
$225 for one training session and one game per week.
$275 for two training sessions and one game per week.

With increased options for practice opportunities and locations we give parents a menu to choose from at an affordable cost. FIRST TOUCH ACADEMY DETAILS:
First Touch Academy teams are COED.
PRACTICES will begin the first week of September and the last week of February. You will select your practice day on the player registration.
GAMES are on Saturdays between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm beginning TBD. The schedule will be available approximately one week before the season start date and the link to the schedule will be on the website at www.jfcsoccer.com.
UNIFORMS - Players are required to purchase a new uniform. Uniforms are not included in the registration fees. When ordering uniforms parents need to buy the Jacksonville FC Recreational Kit. You can visit the the WeGotSoccer retail store in Jacksonville (8570 Philips Highway, Jacksonville, FL 32256) where you can try on the new PUMA uniforms to order the best sizes.
